OVERVIEW TOUR

Day 01: Cusco – Abra Malaga – Santa Maria.

We pick you up from the hotel at 07:00 a.m. to 07:30 a.m. and go to the Abra Málaga passing through beautiful landscapes such as the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the center of the Inca civilization and then ascend to Abra Málaga starting point 4350 meters high, Here the adventurers change with the protection equipment provided by the Company (gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, helmets) after a 20 minutes advance information by our professional guide, we started the fun and adventure by bike on a paved road, quiet but challenging, going through the different ecological levels typical of the cloud forest surrounded by snow-capped mountains, after 2:30 to 3:00 hours bike ride, we arrive at the small archaeological area called Hauman Marca where the bicycle adventure ends and then board the van (VAN) in the direction of Santa Maria here you have a good lunch, overnight stay in a family house To roll local enjoying the sunset in the Andes.

Once we get to Santa Maria, our professional rafting guide will be waiting ready to start a new adventure. This exciting adventure will begin at the bridge of Santa María, making a 2-hour tour of the Vilcanota River, during the adventure we will see beautiful landscapes and the search for rapids class 3 and 4 (dry season) becoming then a very exciting adventure. Exciting and impressive, here you will always have a safety kayak (rescue), to provide the safety we need. Then at the end of this exciting adventure, a bus will be waiting for us to return to Santa Maria, where we will have dinner and spend our first night at the home of a local family.

The rapids in this part of the river are considered some of the best in Cusco and the warm weather makes this tour an unforgettable experience.

Accommodation: Hostal Casa Familiar.

Minimum altitude: 1,430 m / 4,676 ft

Distance Traveled: 48 Km

Approximate Bike Time: 2-3 hrs.

Day 02: Santa Maria – Santa Teresa.

very early in the morning 06:00 am is the wake-up time in order to enjoy our typical breakfast of the Inca jungle to be able to start walking along the river bank and then start the original Inca trail, while walking towards up and down the steep cliffs above the impressive Cocalmayo Valley, where the Guide will explain the flora, fauna and history of the place and reveal something of the little we know about this ancient and amazing culture. The Inca Trail descends to Quellomayo where the group stops to have lunch and have free time to relax in the hammocks and always keep their eyes on natural fruits, especially flavor is the passion fruit (passion fruit). After lunch the tour continues along the Urubamba River. In total the distance of the walk (20 km aprox) concludes with a visit to the thermal baths of Cocal May where the group submerges in the warm water to forget all the pains of the walk (Inca Jungle) then continue towards Santa Teresa for the dinner and a comfortable hostel (local family home).

Distance Traveled: 18 Km

Approximate walking time: 7 -8 hour / ascent 1220 m

Day 03: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes Town

Today you have two options, you can go walking from Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes (11 km aprox) or take a zip line (canopy) in the morning with a transport to the hydroelectric station (lunch place) and just walk the last 9 kilometers.

Whatever option you choose? the group will meet again at the hydroelectric station. For lunch and then just walk 3 hours along the train to the town of Aguas Calientes. Where we spend the night in a hostel or hostel and have dinner. Next, have the latest information about the guided tour in the Inca citadel Machupicchu.

You have the option to visit the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes (entrance 10 soles)

Food: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 04: Aguas Calientes – The Inca City of Machu Picchu

Very early 04:00 am, the group has to wake up and be ready to walk towards the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, the walk starts following the bus road after 20 minutes and start the stretch of the Inca Trail that climbs to the site archaeological site of Machupicchu, to be able to appreciate the impressive sunrise, after registering at the main entrance of Machu Picchu that is open at 06:00 am. We will start the guided tour that lasts 2:00 hours where the guide will explain about the history of the Incas, then you will have free time to visit and walk on your own, taking into account the schedule of the train back, you have the enough time to climb the mountain of Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu in the afternoon, you can take a bus or walk back to the town Aguas Calientes, to board the tourist train back to the town of Ollantaytambo then bus to Cusco.

Food: Breakfast.

Maximum altitude: 2,450 m / 8, 011 ft

Minimum altitude: 2,100 m / 6,867 ft

Distance Traveled: 9 Km

Approximate walking time: 1:45 hour / ascent 350 m
